Dear parents,
Sometimes it's good to sit and watch a film with your children.
This can be educational. You can discuss the film with your child afterwards.
You could explore these aspects:
What was the plot/story? What was the problem (there's always a problem)?
Who were the main characters? What did they want (motivation)?
Did you enjoy it? Why? Why not?
What was the climax (the most exciting part)?
Genre - what kind of film was it? Animation, western, thriller, etc.
What was the dialogue like? Realistic?
Did you like the ending?
Etc.
Your child could write a review afterwards.
Also, click below for film guides - which are designed as informal discussion prompts for after viewing some recent films.
Or maybe just watch the film and enjoy the peace and quiet!
Slán agus beannacht,
Mark Kelly, príomhoide.
